On the Grass Cloud

Come and celebrate a new generation of Dumfries writers in the launch of 'On the Grass Cloud' at 7.00pm May 20th at the Midsteeple in Dumfries. All proceeds go to the Moat Brae Trusts to aid their attempts to restore Moat Brae House and its gardens as a 'living memorial to the creative imagination'. Entrance free. Some refreshments. Booklets minimum donation £3.

On the Grass Cloud

The day was yellow, orange and red
a bright autumn day by
the river’s vibrant murk
Here I was a child
though my memory’s as thin as the leaves
Fall next to me on the grass cloud
breathe in the branches
and sing their song
the last colour shed from the bud
the final colours
the day’s yellow orange and red

Well done on the booklet. I'll try and get there.

Seems you and Titus are leading the way! Best wishes on your event....yet another that I can't get to thanks to my busy schedule. Okay, so it's due to a thin wallet and fear of ash clouds. ;)

Brill poem and I really like the illustration. Well done to the contributors. Trust it goes well for all concerned, but I'll try to get there to see for myself.

Will you please get that Roncadora post sorted out as you are clogging up my dashboard with a promise of riches that never arrives. Much like my Moat Brae payment.

Hoorah! In more ways than one...

Have crossed everything it is possible to cross, have a great trip and don't forget to go to The Museum of London. Just re-opened. Interesting things. About English people.

Brilliant news on the shortlist. Judges of taste!
